Public consultation for a Town Council for Andover

Test Valley Borough Council have approved proposals to consult residents on a town council for Andover. A survey will be delivered to all residents asking their views on whether Andover should, like other towns, have its own town council.

Third Class Mail - Campaign to save Whitchurch Delivery Office

Royal Mail have said that they will close the Delivery Office in Whitchurch on 2nd May 2009 and transfer its work to Priestley Road on the northern outskirts of Basingstoke. They say "Any customers unable to collect mail from Basingstoke Delivery Office can arrange redelivery to their home address, at a mutually convenient time and date, either online or by calling the telephone number on the card notifying them we have an item for them. Alternatively customers can arrange to collect items from a local participating Post Office for a nominal fee."

Liberal Democrat PPC Selected for North West Hampshire

North West Hampshire Liberal Democrats are pleased to announce that experienced Liberal Democrat campaigner Tom McCann has been selected as their Parliamentary Candidate. Tom was elected by the party membership at the Andover Guildhall on the 30th January 2009.
